By: Laura Petix, MS OTR/LEPISODE 32

If you follow me on instagram, you know that mornings before school are the hardest times for us. Now I’m letting you in to witness what a mostly typical morning sounds like for us.

In these audio clips, you’ll hear my daughter struggle with her anxiety about clothes, her having a meltdown (and how I respond to the meltdown) + my processing of emotions after the morning meltdown.

At the end of the episode, you’ll also hear me go through my process for “repairing” with her the next morning after having an extremely hard evening the night before.

I’m an enneagram 6, so my brain is constantly moving. My OT lenses never turn off and I can’t “un-see” the sensory and other developmental skills that go in to literally every activity. I love taking what I see and breaking it down into simple terms so parents can understand what goes into their child’s behavior and skills.
